TAARKS LS1 140a alternator upgrade kit.
Our kit is designed to bolt the Early LS1 ( AC Delco # 92058857 ) 140a alternator onto the SR20 rear wheel drive engines.
These alternators are a must when running larger fuel pumps, thermo fans, stereo systems etc.
The brackets are machined from billet 6061-T6 aluminium and anodised to prevent corrosion. Our unique adjuster allows easy adjustment of the belt without fear it might slip like other designs. Kit retains factory alternator location and the standard SR20 alternator pulley is to be used.

By: Jacob Henderson on 28 September 2025If you are wanting to upgrade with this kit in an s13/ 180sx, you will need to upgrade your alternator/starter motor harness as they are only rated to 80amp not 140. I wish I was told this before purchasing now I have to spend more money on something that wasn’t told in description. Other than that good product.

Easy Install
By: Bruce on 12 May 2021Fairly easy install. Took close to 5 hrs to put it all together. There was a slight issue with the grounding cable, as the stock alternator uses a m6 bolt, but the LS alternator needs a m10 bolt to ground it onto the alternator itself, thus the ground wires needed to be re-crimped onto a larger lug to suit a M10 bolt. Apart from that small wiring hiccup, the install was easy and smooth.
